MSC Seascape

Seaside EVO Class · Caribbean & Bahamas

The second Seaside EVO-class ship, MSC Seascape entered service in 2022. Its design emphasizes a seaside promenade on the lower decks and extensive outdoor deck space, making it well suited to warm Caribbean cruising. A stern water park and ropes course, along with a glass-floored walkway extending over the sea, provide plenty of outdoor activities. In winter 2026/27, it is scheduled to homeport at Galveston, Texas, for 7-night Western Caribbean cruises.

Atmosphere and guests
  • All ages
  • The second Seaside EVO-class ship, themed around being close to the sea. Family activities include the Waterfront Promenade with a glass-floor catwalk, a zip line, and a water park, while the MSC Yacht Club provides a luxury ship-within-a-ship area. This creates a distinctive two-tier mix of casual and upscale experiences. After launching from Miami for Caribbean & Bahamas cruises in 2022, it has operated since November 2025 exclusively on Western Caribbean cruises from Galveston, Texas.
  • Since shifting to departures from Galveston, the ship mainly attracts families and couples from the southern United States and Texas. There are no Japanese-speaking staff or Japanese cuisine.

It runs on conventional fuel rather than LNG, but has a hybrid exhaust gas cleaning system (scrubber) that removes 98% of sulfur oxides, and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) units on its 4 Wartsila 14V46F main engines that cut nitrogen oxides by up to 90%. It also has advanced wastewater treatment, ballast water treatment, LED lighting, heat recovery and smart HVAC, and has obtained the RINA-certified environmental standard "Green Plus."
