What the dataset contains

Ships

Everything shown on ship pages: overview, specifications, dining, cabins, facilities, information for Japanese travelers, prices, itineraries and travel reports. Markdown includes sources, check dates and estimate labels.

Everything shown on itinerary pages: day-by-day schedules, seasons and departure dates, ships, prices, ports and notes. Markdown includes sources, check dates and estimate labels.

Everything shown on port pages: location, country, access from Japan, airports, climate, local prices and sightseeing. Markdown includes sources, check dates and estimate labels.

We do not reproduce descriptions from official websites. We publish facts, sources and introductions written in our own words.

"Data last updated" is the date of the most recent update; it does not mean every item was checked on that day (per-item check dates are shown on each page).

Update frequency

We normally update the data monthly. Changes are recorded in the update history.

How we collect the data

We check publicly accessible pages, including cruise lines' official sites, identify ourselves with contact details, respect robots.txt and space out requests to the same site. Pages that require scripts may be checked using an AI-assisted browser. We collect facts and do not reproduce text or photos; we use our own words and link to sources. Relevant content is removed following a request (contact: info@invest-aitech.com).

The facts and figures that Cruise Atlas collects and organizes (such as ship specifications, itinerary schedules, port locations, price ranges and check dates; this covers the files under /data and the figures shown on the pages) are published under CC BY 4.0. You may copy, modify, redistribute and use them commercially as long as you credit “Cruise Atlas” and the page URL as the source.
