Zuiderdam
Vista · refurbished 2025 · Caribbean & Bahamas
Launched in 2002 as the first Vista-class ship, Zuiderdam measures about 82,000 GT and carries about 1,900 guests. Its maneuverable size makes it well suited to medium- and long-duration itineraries with many port calls, including the Panama Canal and the Southern Caribbean. Its interiors and facilities were updated during a 2025 dry dock, and it is also included among the ships targeted for major refurbishment under the 2026-announced Holland America Evolution program. Plans have also been announced for Northern Europe deployment in summer 2027, operating round trip from Amsterdam, giving it a broad seasonal range.

In 2026, Holland America Line announced "Evolution," a fleet refurbishment program worth $500 million in total, and is progressively carrying out improvements such as better energy efficiency. Additional equipment specific to Zuiderdam (such as scrubbers) has not been confirmed.
