An R-class (Rotterdam-class) ship delivered in October 1999, sister to Zaandam. At about 61,200 GT with room for roughly 1,430 guests across 10 passenger decks, she is smaller than the line's Vista-class ships (about 82,000 GT). The line says Lanai staterooms, which open onto the Promenade Deck, are found only on Volendam. She was dry-docked in the Bahamas in October 2024. From January 2026 she operates a 133-night Grand World Voyage, and Southern Africa itineraries from Cape Town and Singapore are also planned.
