Nieuw Amsterdam

Signature · Alaska

Launched in 2010 as the second Signature-class ship, Nieuw Amsterdam is Eurodam's sister ship. Art decorations themed around the historic ties between New York and the Netherlands are a highlight onboard. With capacity for about 2,100 guests, this midsize ship is highly regarded in Alaska because the upper-deck Crow's Nest is well suited to glacier viewing. In summer, it is a mainstay of one-way Glacier Discovery itineraries between Vancouver and Whittier (Anchorage), pairing well with cruise tours that include inland Denali. In winter, it moves to the Caribbean.
