View Southeast Asia on the mapMore a working port town than a tourist destination, where the old town (Kota Lama) lined with Dutch colonial-era buildings, a Chinatown built by ethnic Chinese residents, and Javanese Islamic culture coexist in layers. The center is busy with traffic and hot, so getting around by ride-hailing app or tour bus is practical.
