Moorea is a heart-shaped island about 30 minutes by ferry from Papeete, with spectacular views of Opunohu Bay and Cook’s Bay. Cruise visitors commonly anchor in the bay and go ashore by tender. Because day trips from Tahiti are also possible, it is convenient as a port before or after a Tahiti call.
