One of North America's largest tidewater glaciers, in southeastern Alaska. Ships approach the glacier face to watch enormous ice cliffs collapse in dramatic calving displays from the water. There is no landing; this is a scenic cruise where you enjoy the spectacle of nature from the ship.

A cold subarctic climate. Even in summer it gets chilly near the glacier, so warm clothing is essential. The weather changes easily.
